Let’s build a relationship together

Love, marriage and business

This weekend, James Kelly, the founder of Quayside Construction, embarks on one of life’s most beautiful journeys as he marries the love of his life.

As he stands at the crossroads of two of his greatest passions—his thriving business and his blossoming marriage—James is reflecting on the shared values and qualities that will guide him in building both a high-profile, successful business and a deeply happy marriage.

” In many ways, the foundation of a strong marriage mirrors the pillars of a successful business. Just as open communication is vital for connecting with our team and clients, it’s equally essential in loving relationships, where honest conversations and understanding are the bedrock of love and trust.

Trust, is the cornerstone of my personal and professional relationships. In business, it’s the trust our clients place in my company to deliver excellence. In marriage, it’s the unshakeable confidence that Jess and I will always stand by each other, no matter what.

For me, respect is non-negotiable—whether it’s in the boardroom or at the dinner table. I value what Jess thinks, just as I respect the input of my team, and hopefully all thrive on mutual respect and appreciation.

I have poured my heart and soul into growing Quayside Construction, and I am ready to dedicate myself fully to nurturing my marriage. I know that with commitment comes the strength to weather any storm, whether it’s a challenging project or a life experience.

Key, I think is flexibility and compromise it allows you to adapt to changes, be open to other’s perspectives and find common ground keeps the relationship strong and harmonious.

Family values is what has driven me to create and grow Quayside Construction to what it is today, and that’s what will drive me in my future with Jess.

I am reminded that whether I’m building skyscrapers or a life with my Jess, that love, trust, respect, and commitment are the cornerstone of happiness. “
